Once you get over the bamboo serving trays (that seemed to have survived the handover with crumbs from that era stuck in between), it was surprisingly good food.

Ah Basri satay is not located at D’Piazza anymore but at Jalan Tengah opposite Giant Supermarket beside Hong Leong Bank. i must admit that Ah Basri is the best satay in Penang Island. I thank my friend for recommending me to try out the stays. I was sceptical at first but after trying i really enjoyed especially the calamari satay.

Whao…thats bad with hair in it.

Actually, after a few more tries at the shop, the food quality consistency is bad.

If you are unlucky, and the chef is a newbie, your food might sux

and yes, it does taste a bit odd if you are not a Malaysian

I am a Malay and i substitute the pork with chicken and cooked just as you have shown I love it i made some addition such as the small pc of chicken liver and lots of ginger small pc of garlic, small pc of tomato to reduce the heati-ness and lastly tamarind sauce to taste.

OMG you put 7 out of 10!
Hardly to believe, still remember around 2009 when i was in Malaysia (SP),
The noodle they serve got hair inside of it, yes my friends did exchange it for another plate.
Taste a bit odd, and spicy.

Yet the town got lot more to offer, warm people and warm weather planing to visit again maybe on next winter.
