Day 2 @ Danok, Thailand (2011)
The next morning, we wanders around for breakfast. There are few stalls beside the road full with people, and hence we decide to have our breakfast there.
The pork leg rice @ RM4 looks really pale and uninteresting when it served, but it’s good. The meat is super tender, the gravy is nice and it just taste amazing! Eat it with their chili, it is just greatttt!! However, the vegetables taste bitter though. 7.5/10
The koay chap @ RM5 in the other hand, does looks interesting with loads of ingredients. It taste good too. 7.0/10
Jit Seng Hong Kong Roasted Duck @ Penang
After saw some stunning pictures HERE, I know, I definitely need to try it!
But…..what are we waiting? It’s 12PM, the whole restaurant is full of people, but there ain’t no duck??!! Everyone is waiting….wait what?
Tan Kee Roasted Duck @ Lunas
Lunas is just a small small town in Kedah, but there is this 1 shop here served 1 of the best roasted duck in Northern Malaysia.
The restaurant name is Tan Kee, and it’s roasted duck had been permanently glue to the town Lunas. When mentioned Lunas to any Chinese, surely they will say, oh the roasted duck there is very very good!
First Famous Restaurant Duck Rice @ Penang
First famous restaurant? No.1 famous restaurant? Most famous restaurant? Whatever your name can be, but if your food is bad, also useless, but, this is a feast! I love it the way they put all the things I order into 1 plate, roasted pork, roasted duck, steamed chicken, Chinese sausage, all arrange nicely, simply just nice!
I ain’t cheat ya, the name of the restaurant is really Restaurant First Famous Federal, and located at Lorong Susu, what a good name for a road.
Qi Chiong Gai Salted Duck @ Petaling Street,Kuala Lumpur
Petaling Street, a place I always tend to avoid especially during night time. I really hate this place as it’s always crowded and always got people buggering me to buy things from them, sigh.I however visited this place during early April while waiting my bus to depart at Puduraya, in fact the next few post will be foods in Petaling Street.
During my venture here, I had bump into this small stall, and was really interested by the stall name – Sze Ngan Chye (four eyed guy in English, also refer to someone who wear spectacles), but I did not notice anyone working there wearing spectacles though, hm….
By the way, they are not selling the normal roasted duck, instead they are selling salted duck! Well, salted chicken I heard before la, and I especially love those from Ipoh, which is just plain awesome. Well, after some reading, I only read from the sign board there that stated they are the only shop selling it, without any branch elsewhere, no wonder I never saw it at other place la.
I decided to give them a try too since I miss the salted chicken from Ipoh. Well, I know both is different thing la, 1 is chicken 1 is duck, 1 is steamed 1 is roasted, but I want to try ma, just need some excuse. :p
Hwa Nam Kafe Fried Lor Mee @ Penang
Lor mee, is usually something I won’t try, as I don’t really like eating noodles where the soup is starchy. However, I decided to trust Penangtuapui when saw their post about this Lor mee, which turn out to be awesome!
Restaurant Cho Jiang Roasted Duck @ Sungai Petani
Roasted duck, yum yum, and it’s also something that many shops failed in it, mainly because the duck meat is harder if compare to chicken. However, in Restaurant Cho Jiang, the roasted duck is nice, as the meat is quite tender. The duck is roasted nicely, and the skin taste really nice and fragrant. 7.8/10
