Thanks god too, after raining for the whole morning, it’s finally stopped at around 2 PM and we can explore around here.

While there are many historical buildings around here, there are many food stalls around too. I just love the bubble milk tea here, and I especially enjoy their smaller than usual bubble. 8.0/10

Of course, how can one miss out pork burger when at Macau?!! However, the quality differs from each stall , and while some are super tasty, the one I had is just normal. 6.0/10

The crazy famous Kui Kee that got like 5 to 6 shops (or more) in the tiny Senado Square. And each of them is full with people!! You can sample most of their cookies before you buy, and I guess almost everyone come to Macau will buy something back from them. To me, I am not a fan of all these cookies.

While walking around, we also saw a short line queueing up somewhere, which is Poon Weng Kee Cookies (潘榮記減蛋金錢餅).

Each cookies is hand made and since they did not mass produce, each of them is oh so fresh.

However, seriously I don’t find anything special on this thing that made by using egg yolk, flour, sugar and butter only. 4.0/10

After finish explore around Senado Square, we saw Yee Shun Milk Company(義順牛奶公司).

They are famous for their Double steamed milk pudding, which many had says it’s superb. Too bad, I don’t really like this type of pudding too….neither did LY enjoy it. However, it’s so so so so much better than the one I tried at Fohsan, Ipoh, lol. 5.5/10

All in all, Senado Square is still a must visit place for anyone came to Macau. I regretted very much that I can’t find Margaret’s Cafe to try their famous Portuguese egg tart. Too bad, maybe next time.

I usually came here for few hours only and I am back.

However, for the first ever time, I decided to overnight here.

One of the many fried chicken stall. Yummy if you don’t mind the cleanliness. 

And no, it’s not what you think. My mum and LY are with me…….

Unlucky for us, most of the newer and cleaner hotel are fully booked! It really shocked me. Well, I can understand if we are in Hatyai, but here?!

A small stall that’s rather interesting to me. BBQ! 

Luckily, finding a hotel is never a problem here since there are just so many around. BUT to find one which is cleaner is quite a big task. Walking around with our luggage, and finally we managed to check in one which seems okay to us.

BBQ intestines, which is delicious. 

The expressions of the receptionist is really funny when my mum asked for a room with extra bed, or a room that have 2 single bed instead of a queen size one. Guess you should know what kind of business they are actually in eh?

Crab cooked with curry powder at my favourite Ped’s Restaurant.  The crab are fresh and kinda huge, too bad it taste okay only. 6.5/10

Since it’s a hot day, I decided to buy a can of beer to cool down, but I can’t open the fridge door in 7-11. It’s locked!!! WhatttttT????!!!!!

Thai style Pork Leg which is rather disappointing too as it’s too hard to bite. Besides, the crab and the pork leg cost us RM122, which I find that it’s ridiculously expansive. 5.8/10

Then only I noticed that there’s a notice on the fridge, saying something such as “Today is an important Buddha day, No liquor can be sold”.

Whao!!!! I never know that, culture shocked eh!!!

It’s 16th July 2011 when I am there by the way.

And yes, 7-11 do follow the laws well. I end up able to buy it at some other restaurants, but was told I can only buy back and drink in my room, and not at their shop.

Looks like they do enforce their law well eh?

Although cendol is usually refer to the green colored noodle look-a-like thingy, but it’s not the main ingredients that made a bowl of cendol stand out from the others (well, at least to me la). It’s all due to the santan (coconut milk) and gula melaka (palm sugar) used. Besides, finely shaved ice and big sweet red beans also lead to a good bowl of cendol.

Due to the crowd and mess at their main branch at Penang road, I decided to give their branch inside Prangin Mall a try for my crave of cendol this time.

This is my first time trying at their branch, and I shall say I am quite happy with it. I don’t notice any difference here compare to their main branch, hence I find that in the future, I will just come here instead, where I no need to queue up under the hot sun, stand and eat under the hot sun, and worry my ass being knock my passing by car. I is can sit down and enjoy my desert. 8.0/10

I am actually attracted by all the newspaper report on the stall, seems to be highly recommended, and the yellow signboard saying “Ma Chi Very Good” also makes me want to get something from the aunty too. Seems like I am easily cheated by advertisement huh?

This is also the first time I saw Muar Chee got so many different flavor, but in the end we settle for the original flavor, which cost us Rm5, the most expansive Muar Chee I ever ate before!

Chop chop chop…. and I think I am one of those waiting to be chopped too, but why? Read on…..

In the mean time, something I will never forget to patronize whenever I at Petaling Stret is the Air Mata Kucing (dried longan drink). It’s really a good to cool you down especially you are sweating hot when walking around here under the hot sun.

The dried longan drink ice cost RM1.20, for me it’s really worth it although many had say that in the past, more longan were given, but still, I love it.

And finally when I board the bus, I can try the RM5 Muar Chee! However, it’s a HUGE disappointment! Arrghh, seriously RM5 wasted! The Muar Chee were chopped into too big pieces, not nice. I didn’t find it anything special too until it need to cost RM5, in fact it’s worse than most cheaper and normal Muar Chee stall at the roadside. Duh, DON’T TRY IT! Epic failed! I was conned by the stupid newspaper report! 1.0/10

Well, I think one of the reasons that the Muar Chee taste so bad is because I actually eat it 1 hour after I bought it, if I were to eat in when I bought it, it might be better a bit, a bit only. Besides, it might also because I am not in the mood of eating.

Well, the fact is I miss my bus! My bus should depart at 11.00 AM at Puduraya, and  when I reach Puduraya at 10.40AM, I went over to Transnasional counter and ask in which platform my bus will be, and I was told I should wait at Platform no.8. So I went to platform no.8 at 10.50 AM, but the bus was nowhere to be seen until 11.15AM. When I went over to ask again, where is my bus, I was told that the bus had left!!!!!!!!

WTFISTHISSHITMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides, to add more salt to my wound, I was told by them that all tickets to my hometown was SOLD OUT for that day!!!!!! Shiatz, and luckily, there are still many other bus company at Puduraya, and I manage to find a bus that depart at 11.45 AM to Sungai Petani, how lucky, just that I need to fork out another RM70 for it. Sigh……..

Since Ai Yu Bing is very refreshing, and with lemon in it, having a bowl of Ai Yu Bing in an extremely hot day is really great!

To make a bowl of Ai Yu Bing taste better, most people will add in honey syrup to sweetened it, and some will also add lychee or longan.

Since this is the only table I saw near the stall, and it was clearly occupied, I decided to take away instead of standing there and eat.

It’s really extremely nice to have a big cold bowl of Ai Yu Bing in front of you when you are just back from being burnt by the big hot sun.

Yummmmy ……ommm mali mali ommmm……..

This mobile Ai Yu Bing stall is located just beside the goodie Tua Pui Curry Mee, and you can order it there while enjoying your curry mee.

I will pick this over any other normal coconut stall that sell fresh coconut water as it was served cold. Besides, this type of coconut is usually sweeter than those big green coconut, hence it make this coconut jelly way more refreshing than the normal one.

The coconut looked like just any other coconut you will get when you are at a Thai Restaurant, just that inside 95% of the coconut water had turned into jelly. According to Motormouth and CKLam, the Coconut Jelly is formed by roasting the coconut in a oven, and then was placed in a colder room. I was also told that no additive or artificial chemical is added, neither preservative. Therefore, the Coconut Jelly usually only last few days before it turn sour.

One might not want to eat the Coconut Jelly inside the shop if he/she is too particular, as it’s very small and quite dirty since it’s full with coconut! Besides, they only have 1 table inside the shop only. One must also take note that if you choose to dine here, plastic spoon will be given, and you will have a hard time to scoop the coconut meat as the spoon is too fragile.

Joez Coconut is located at the busy Jalan Dato Keramat road in Penang, and it’s quite hard to notice. It’s just before the police station on your left if you come from Komtar.

You can also give them a call if you still unable to find it. Buy Original please!
