Lang Sae Lee, reviewed by CKlam, penangtuapui and Lingzie all at almost the same time. The thing that really attracts me is the environment, totally not commercialize, old style just build on the sea, just awesome!

Yes, you are dining just outside the chef house, with only few tables available.

The narrow wooden road that lead to Lang Sae Lee.

As it is the last house of the row, the view here is very good. However, you must bear with the heat as if the sun is big and shinny, it can get really hot.

Some view directly opposite the house.

Otak-otak (Fish cake wrapped with banana leave) is not bad, very soft and it’s really full with fish. However, it will become salty when its cold. So have to eat it as soon as it was served. Northern region otak-otak is different from the one in Muar, which is grilled instead. 7.3/10

Clear soup tom yam seafood. This very much disappoints me, it’s just not enough sour and spicy. The ingredients is little also, only 1 prawn in 1 bowl, but considering the price is only RM5, ok la. 5.6/10

Pandan Chicken. This is good stuff, the meat is very soft and taste good. 7.5/10

Sweet and sour fish. This is good, the fish is very fish, and was fried until very crunchy, good stuff. 7.0/10

Fried kangkung (water spinach) and fried golden needle mushroom (enokitake). This is indeed something special, but it taste really nice. Both the spinach and the mushroom is mildly fried, hence it’s still very juicy inside. 7.8/10

The kerabu squid is just average though, it’s lack of some kick as it seems not too spicy. However if you accidentally bite the chili, then prepare to look for loads of water. 5.9/10

Lang Sae Lee is located at Tan Jetty, which is located at The Clan of Jetties of Penang along Pengkalan Weld.

If you saw this banner, you are on the right track. Just head straight till the end of the road for some authentic home cook Thai food.

All in all, Lang Sae Lee is a great place to dine in, mostly due to the environment nice, especially for someone who grown up in town, it’s really a good experience. Besides, to being able to enjoy un-commercialize  home cook thai food is really hard to find now, so if you are in Penang, head over to try it. A Must Try! place.
