Restaurant Cho Jiang Roasted Duck @ Sungai Petani
Roasted duck, yum yum, and it’s also something that many shops failed in it, mainly because the duck meat is harder if compare to chicken. However, in Restaurant Cho Jiang, the roasted duck is nice, as the meat is quite tender. The duck is roasted nicely, and the skin taste really nice and fragrant. 7.8/10
Besides, I also love the fat and lean meat proportion of the duck here. At most places, the duck they serve is usually too lean to my liking, however, the one here, I just love it. Forget about body fat issue 1st!
Another reason I love to visit here is the chili sauce here is just awesome! Not really spicy at all and its sweet base, just yummmmy. The black sauce you can either pour on top of the duck, or eat it with the rice, either way its good.
The complimentary soup. They cook it using the leftover duck bone or some parts that people usually won’t eat. This made the soup very tasty, certainly a nice idea to do so.
Another complimentary, the desert. It’s different daily, and it’s up to the chef mood and see what he want to cook. Usually it just taste normal, or worse below average. But since it’s free, I won’t care much.
Restaurant Choo Jiang do served “dai chao”, but I rarely order those as I find that quite normal and a bit pricey. You can try if you find that roasted duck alone cannot satisfy you.
Restaurant Cho Jiang, definitely a good place to have some nice Roasted duck here at Sungai Petani.

Kedah right? Kedah is famous for its roasted duck! Hopefully I can sojourn in the northern part of Malaysia Penin this year end.
How’s the rice that comes with the duck?
I think the one you mentioned is Lunas one rite?
if so then yes, the duck there is nice, way better than this one
The rice here is just normal, I don’t really like it as the rice is abit too sticky imo
